Systech Completes Major Dial-to-IP Device Rollout in Europe

Feb. 5, 2008 - PRLog -- San Diego, CA – Systech Computer Corporation, a leading provider of IP network conversion devices, today announced that its’ IPG-7010 dial-to-IP device will be used by Alphyra UK, Ltd., a UK-based payment processor, to enable existing dial-based terminals to communicate through broadband connections at various retail locations.

The primary goal addressed by Alphyra’s solution is to eliminate phone lines to significantly reduce costs. An equally important requirement was to enable the conversion to IP using the existing dial-based gift card terminals.  The Systech IPG-7010 was the ideal solution for meeting both requirements.

At retail locations with gift card terminals, for example, the terminals are used to purchase gift cards and mobile phone airtime, and to process loyalty program transactions.  The Systech device converts the dial port on the terminal to IP, eliminating the need for a dial up connection.  The payment transactions now travel securely encrypted on the broadband connection.  The existing terminals required no capital expenditures for upgrades, or buying new IP enabled terminals.
