Stonewall Resort To Host 2008 Teaming To Win Conference

Premiere WV Business Conference Opens Doors for Small Businesses

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release) - Feb 04, 2008 -
Directors for the 19th Annual Teaming to Win Conference announced today that the 2008 conference will return to the picturesque Stonewall Resort in Roanoke, WV on May 28-30.

Teaming to Win, a premiere conference designed to assist small businesses, along with state and federal agencies in West Virginia, with networking and business growth, was last held at Stonewall in 2006.

“Teaming to Win is all about bringing business leaders from around the state together to open doors to new business opportunities. Stonewall’s central location will make it easy for folks from Charleston, Wheeling, Parkersburg and the Eastern Panhandle to participate in this unique business-building opportunity,” said Lynn Dombroski, co-director of the 2008 conference and owner of LAD Studio LLC in Morgantown. “Stonewall is such a gem, and we’re pleased to be returning to this outstanding conference facility.”

This year’s conference will feature numerous educational workshops that address business topics such as selling on the internet and how to choose the best accounting system and software.  The training sessions will be separated into four tracks, each designed to help attendees build, strengthen, diversify and develop their business with specialized educational components in each track. One of the key features is an opportunity for small to mid-size businesses to gain an introduction to federal government contracting.

The event kicks off with a golf tournament on Wednesday, May 28 at Stonewall Resort’s Palmer Signature Course and a fishing tournament on the 2,000 acre Stonewall Jackson Lake. The event will also feature technology demonstrations and a Spotlight on Small Business, where business owners have the opportunity to market their capabilities to government agencies, and then follow-up with a valuable one-on-one session if desired.

“This event is geared specifically toward small businesses in West Virginia who are looking to grow and develop their business, either through work with the federal government and large prime contractors, or with other businesses in the state,” said co-director Bob Wentz of Information Resource Corporation in Fairmont. “Many people think Teaming to Win is just for businesses in the hi-tech sector, but it’s really not. There are excellent programs and networking opportunities for businesses of all types.”
