3 – Do you really cover that many miles?
- Over-estimating the amount of miles that you cover each year can increase your insurance premium. The longer you spend on the road the greater the probability of an accident occurring. Be careful not to under estimate either as this could invalidate your cover.
4 – Named drivers on your policy – how’s their driving?
- Look at the other named drivers that you have on your insurance. As with your details, named drivers on your policy will change the amount that you pay. Their sex, age, occupation and previous driving history could cost you more.
5 – Are you building up your own No Claims Bonus?
- Get started on your own policy as soon as you can. Then you can begin to build your own No Claims Bonus which will in turn reward you with reductions in your car insurance. The longer you have your insurance without claiming, the more your bonus builds up and in theory the more the cost of your insurance reduces.
6 – Does your car have any anti-theft devices?
- Anti theft devices, such as an immobiliser, or alarm, should lower your quote.
Now all you need to do is grab yourself a cheap car insurance quote and see how much these tips could save you on your car insurance!
