POCATELLO, IDAHO - Verdure Technologies, Inc. ("Verdure"), an Idaho based biotech green technologies company, has announced the release of the first ever, all natural, self-contained bio-waste and greenhouse gas reduction system. The Micro-Gas Attendant™ is the first product Verdure intends to market under its VerdureGreen™
On January 30, 2008, Verdure executives met to announce the release of its Micro-Gas Attendant™ to the Verdure dealer network.
Mark Terry, President of Verdure Technologies, stated, "Verdure is excited to announce an affordable alternative to methane digesters to the dairy and livestock industries. The foundation for future growth in the livestock industries have been set with the introduction of the Micro-Gas Attendant™. The dairy and livestock farmer is in great need of a waste treatment system that does not require the overly expensive purchase price and maintenance costs of anaerobic (methane burning) digesters, or energy conversion equipment to reduce methane and other greenhouse gases from their livestock lagoons and waste streams. Verdure is excited to announce to the dairy and livestock markets that their solution is now available; orders are currently being taken for Attendants with an estimated March 15, 2008 ship date. The Micro-Gas Attendant™ is a self-contained unit designed to culture, incubate, distribute; and deliver a strata of over 1,000 species of biodegradation microorganisms. Each Micro-Gas Attendant™ generates and delivers up to 400 gallons per day of specific microorganisms for each unique environment. This process insures the right microorganisms are delivered when needed. Clinical trials performed in Te Aroha, New Zealand have shown reductions of BOD values by 68.1% while pH levels remained neutral. Total Suspended Solids were reduced by 76.8%, NH3 (Ammonia) levels were reduced 72.9%, NO3 (nitric acid), TKN (Total Kjeldahl Nitrogen), and (PO4) Phosphates were reduced 98.4%, 72% and 81.8% respectively in a 90 day time period.”
Douglas Brown, Chief Executive Officer of Verdure, commented, "Dairy livestock produces an estimated 12% of the global greenhouse gases. The dairy industry is experiencing governmental regulations prohibiting growth at one of its most profitable times. For these reasons and more, Verdure has chosen to enter the dairy industry first. Utilizing a dealer network will allow Verdure to penetrate the dairy industry rapidly. Verdure intends to use the same business model in the hog and poultry industries. All of us at Verdure Technologies are excited to share our green solutions with our friends in the dairy and livestock industries."
