Local Advocacy Group Jumps Into MD Primary Season With Pre-Launch Of Voter Empowerment Campaign

PRLog (Press Release) – Jan 31, 2008 – The GrassRoots Steering Foundation, Inc. (GRSF), is pleased to announce its 2008 VOTE THE POWER™ CAMPAIGN!  This initiative will commence on Friday, February 29, 2008 as representatives of GRSF, Inc. and its partners will host a pre-launch party to kick-off the VOTE THE POWER!™ CAMPAIGN  in the local Harford County, Maryland area.  At this event, the new logo and new website will be unveiled, and the local partners of the campaign will be introduced.  Politicians have their own campaigns, VOTE THE POWER!™ is a campaign for the voters.  The purpose of the campaign is two-fold:

1.  To motivate local communities and communities of color to increase voter registration and  
    participation in the political process.

2.  To increase voter registration in the 40 year-old and under population.

The statewide launch is scheduled for May 10, 2008.  All of the efforts of the VOTE THE POWER!™ Campaign are non-partisan and are solely intended to motivate the voting population in the state of Maryland.
