Teen Author Kristina Coia Holds Reading At Children’s Hospital Of Philadelphia on February 2nd

Author Will Donate and Sign Teen Fantasy Novel LYMERIA

PRLog (Press Release)Jan 30, 2008 – Atlanta, GA– Teen author Kristina Coia will be holding a reading of her fantasy novel, LYMERIA (ISBN 978-0-595-45268-2, iUniverse, 2007) at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia at 34th Street and Civic Center Boulevard in Philadelphia on February 2nd at 2 P.M.  Coia, age fifteen, a resident of New Jersey, will read passages out of the award-nominated book.  Immediately following the reading, Kristina will sign copies of LYMERIA for patients.

“This is a moving experience for me,” said Coia, “especially because I have a friend who is a patient there. Hopefully, by reading a little of LYMERIA, I can help the patients escape for a little while to a fun, magical place.”

LYMERIA is a novel is about a young girl who finds a mysterious silver bauble hiding beneath a cabinet in her grandmother’s house. When she does, a spellbinding epic tale begins to unfold…Wynne, a humble kitchen maid, and her friends, Princess Avariella, Prince Jared, and Aric, a stable hand, find adventure and wonder in the world of Lymeria. The four friends are pulled into a labyrinth of riddles and trickery in their desperate attempt to stop the evils of the dreaded wizard Cepheus.

Kristina has written a captivating tale full of twists and turns, in which four friends work together to outwit the forces of evil while discovering the power of love and the bond of friendship.  The book opened to critical reviews across the nation and has been nominated for numerous literary awards.

In addition to her writing career, Kristina is also a talented singer/songwriter who has developed the nationally acclaimed program “Shine Through” for middle-schools. The program teaches self-esteem and how to resist peer pressure. Kristina has been featured on FOX & Friends and countless number of other shows across the country for both her novels and the “Shine Through” program.
