On Dec 9th 2007 Independence help in raising money for local families recently struck by tragedy

Jan. 30, 2008 - PRLog -- Independence Hummer, the Carolinas leading Hummer dealer for genuine Hummer Parts, Accessories and Service for Hummer vehicles in the Carolina area was honored to join with Moe’s Southwest Grill and Massey’s Septic Tank to help raise money for the families that were recently struck by tragedy in the Charlotte area.  Jeff Mahar and Vinny Ferens, both worked at Moe’s Southwest Grill, when taken during a senseless act of violence.  Ricky Hudgens, a driver for Massey Septic Tank was recently killed in a car crash. Invitations were sent out to the Independence Hummer family of customer. We gathered on Sunday, December 9th at the dealership and caravanned to Mr. Hawes’ farm in Mooresville.  Donations were taken to help the families. Lunch was catered by Moe’s event-goers spent the day off-roading in their Hummers.  The event raised over 4,000 dollars for the families.
