Austin, TX: The 8th Annual Taste of Austin event takes place Wednesday, January 30 at the Palmer Events Center from 5:30 – 8 p.m. Austinites can sample fun by the forkful from over 50 of the best restaurants in the greater Austin area. Austin favorites from Austin Java Company to Carmelo’s as well as restaurants new to Austin such as the Flying Saucer Draught Imporium and Zocalo Café will serve up the most enjoyable foods Austin has to offer. This unique dining experience is complemented by live music and exhibits from local artisans from the Austin Art Garage.
"For a restaurant, The Taste of Austin event is a great way to gain exposure to a large and diverse audience," explains H. Bryan Poff, president of the Austin Restaurant Association. "For the public, this is a great way to sample old and new favorite restaurants."
The Taste of Austin is a joint venture fundraiser hosted by the Austin Restaurant Association (ARA) and the Westwood High School D.E.C.A program with proceeds benefiting the Greater ARA scholarship fund.
