On Thurs., Feb. 21 at 7pm, the indie-acoustic band “Sirs” and folk-jam quartet Liz Pagan & the Judeo-Christians bring their eclectic repertoires to Pianos Bar and Grill, 36 Broad St., Bloomfield, NJ. Also featured will be quirky singer-songwriter Dave Kleiner.
“Sirs,” formed in 2007 in the metro NY/NJ area, present a mix of acoustic and electric rock and roll. With Michael Aquino on vocals and guitar, Jason Clark on drums, Dave Hilton on cello, bass and vocals and Jesse Monahan on guitar, Sirs has quickly established themselves as an up-and-coming force on the local music scene. Dave Kleiner has been likened to a cross between Gary Larsen and Randy Newman. A fixture of the northeastern folk music scene, he has three CDs including “Salesman.”
Although Liz Pagan and the Judeo-Christians met and formed on the fringes of New Jersey folk music, the band members achieved individual musical notoriety at venues as diverse as Opryland (guitarist/vocalist/
