Tranzeo Wins $4-million Purchase Order for 3.5GHz WiMAX Subscriber Units

Tranzeo Wireless Technologies Inc. (TSX:TZT), a premier manufacturer of high-performance wireless broadband and WiMAX systems, has received a purchase order for $4 million USD in Tranzeo WiMAX Subscriber Units.

With a $4.2-million purchase order that the company received in Q4 2007, Tranzeo’s WiMAX equipment has now generated $8.2 million in orders since the company introduced the product line in Q3 2007.

“The market for fixed WiMAX network equipment is taking off, and Tranzeo is working with leading WiMAX base station equipment vendors. By providing them with a highly integrated, cost competitive solution, Tranzeo is filling this growing market need and accelerating our return on the WiMAX investment,” explains Tranzeo President and CEO Jim Tocher.

Tranzeo will begin shipping its 3.5GHz WiMAX subscriber units to the purchaser towards the end of the first quarter of 2008.
All of the WiMAX units produced to fulfill the purchase order will be manufactured at Tranzeo’s headquarters in Greater Vancouver, B.C. with worldwide distribution facilitated through Tranzeo’s U.S. office in San Diego, Calif. and European office in Shannon, Ireland.
