Genie Group Comments on ISPAS awards

PRLog (Press Release) – Jan 25, 2008 – The nominations for the ISPAS (The UK Internet Industry Awards) have been announced, and Genie Group flagship site Broadband Genie comments on several of it's best listed providers being recognised.

PlusNet got a double nomination, in both the 'Best Business Broadband' and 'Best Business ISP' categories, alongside a deserving Eclipse Internet. Virgin Media and Seriously Internet gained a shortlisting in 'Best Consumer Broadband'.

The Internet Service Providers Association (ISPA) is the UK's trade association for ISP's and has been organising the awards since 1999. The awards are to 'herald the best of the Internet industry and to celebrate innovation and best practice' according to the ISPA, and were dubbed the ISPAS in 2002.

“This is a great opportunity for smaller ISP's to get the recognition they deserve,” stated Stephanie Rogers of Genie Group, “and it provides a great opportunity for us to reflect on the changes in this rapidly growing industry”.

The ISPAS are the premier event for the broadband internet industry, and are attended by Government representatives as well as the media.
