In the five months since its launch date, www.Rentplanes.com has nearly a million hits with numbers growing daily. This unique and innovative concept of searching for rental aircraft using criteria such as airport, make and model of airplanes was introduced in July 2007 by Rentplanes.com, Inc. The idea was developed by CEO/pilot Matt Walsh when he became frustrated searching for a twin engine airplane. The Raleigh, NC based company hopes to help grow the general aviation industry amidst concern over stricter regulations and possible future fees.
www.Rentplanes.com launched as a very basic and user-friendly site offering users the ability to search from a database of over 700 companies nationwide. In the past five months numerous upgrades and additions have made it onto the site. Updates such as the new Trip Estimator that allows users to quickly estimate the time of a trip based on distance and speed only add to the everyday usefulness of www.Rentplanes.com.
