Formed in 2004 by Daniela Oliva and growing in both presence and importance each year, the 2008 Toronto Independent Music Awards will see the introduction of two one-day seminars. The awards night will take place on July 31st 2008 at the Phoenix Concert Centre in downtown Toronto, with artist showcases beginning in April and running all through the summer. All previous awards nights have been sold out well in advance, and 2008 looks to continue this success as it aims for an even bigger and better event. The TIMAs are attempting to give away $40,000 in useful industry-connected prizes to category winners and nominees, breaking last year’s record of $30,000. Apply now online!
