Chocolate Meets Travel in Belize

The Chocolate Lovers Travel Club heads for Belize & the Toledo Cacao Festival on May 22 – May 29, 2008.  Travel club members will be led by Clay Gordon, author of Discover Chocolate.  Clay has appeared on the Oprah Winfrey Show and NPR’s Diane Rehm Show.  He also has written for the Wall Street Journal and The New York Times.

Participants will experience chocolate at it’s source – the Mayan community.  They will learn about the entire process from harvesting cacao to preparing and devouring chocolate confections.

Most evenings, Clay will host chocolate tastings or lead lively and informative discussions about the world of chocolate. Plenty of time is left over for the beach combing - snorkeling, kayaking, visiting Mayan Ruins and the Rio Blanco National Park.
