Sonnet Mondal arises as a World Poet at 17 years of age.

PRLog (Press Release) – Jan 21, 2008 – Sonnet Mondal is a name that has created its own position in World Poetry .and Literature.In July 2007 he was certified as a National Writer of India by the President of India. Sonnet Mondal was born at Asansol(W.B.) of India on 30 12 1990.When he was in class 9 he started writing poems.His first book" A POETIC PEEP INTO THE POST MODERN WORLD" published by The Underground Literature pvt. Ltd. came out in 2007 January 1st.It was inaugurated by Dr Charles Alan Taylor. the Dean and VC of Drury university USA.After that he has got appreciation from all over India and abroad for his poems and his book.He also got special President's letter of appreciation from Dr APJ Abdul Kalam(Nuclear scientist and The Ex- President of India).He has also got special Governor's letter of appreciationfrom Gopal Krishna Gandhi(governor of West Bengal).In his career Prof. Dr Ramesh Chandra Mukhopadhyaya and D.B.Nayak(two versatile writers of Bengal)were his first mentors and pathfinders.Dr Subha Narayan,the principal of Hemsheela Model School has played an important role in publicising his book when it first came out.He has also got special appreciation from Dr Rabindra N Roy,(National awardee in Chemistry,U.S.A.and Prof. Drury university, USA), Dr Saibal Mitra,(MIT drt. and space scientist) and from many other proffessors and teachers from all over the world.His achievements have been published in the National magazine of United Bank Of India.
He has been rated as one of the best poets of the world by Poemsabout,The International society of best Poets, France.He has also been rated as one of the most popular poets of the world in the International Poemhunter forum.In this forum his poems have got appreciation and written comments from writers, intellectuals and poets from countries like U.S.A.,U.K,France,Germany,Ireland,Iceland, Scotland,India,Srilanka,Pakistan,Japan,China,Mexico,Canada,South Africa,Nigeria,Turkey,Bangladesh and some other countries.He has also got publishing offers from many International publishers from U.S.A. and U.K. like Dorrance Publishing &Co. Inc.(Oldest subsidy Publishers of U.S.A), The Underground Literature Pvt. Ltd,India, Authorhouse, U.K., etc.His poems has been published in several International Poetry Societies.
In the January, 2008 he was accepted as an International Poet and he was made an Official Member Poet of "World Poets Society"(W.C.S.) containing W.A.A.C., I.U.P.L. and many other International forums and societies as ambassadors to it.
In January 2008 his poems were published in The Austraillian Society Of Poets(ASOP).He has also been accepted as the youngest member of World Heritage Community of UNESCO.His biography as stated by the Editors of WPA has been published and accepted in BBC Collective.
He is dedicated towards his country India which is bestowed with Nature's gift a prerequisite for poetry and creativity.He has given a new dimension to the landscape of English poetry.He has added a fresh flavour to English language and philosophy through his works.The simplicity in the language in his poems has brought him closer to even non poetry loving persons.These are written in simple english and defamilarise with traditional English language.These poems have added a fresh flavour to English language.Sonnet's poems are poetic withal.They touch upon various notes.Sometimes they are richly wrought and sometimes they are as simple as songs.
In the words of his editor Prof. Dr RC Mukherjee -"Once anyone reads Sonnet's poems one cannot forget them if one would and one will not forget them if one could".
His future projects include a collection of short stories and another book of poetry.

At present he lives in Dakshinayan,Durgapur, West Bengal ,India and is a student of class 12 in Hemsheela Model School.
