Paul Heyens Brings Community Involvement, Executive Expertise to Organization

Calgary, AB — January 16, 2008 — Taiga BioActives chairman Paul Heyens has been appointed to the Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training Board. The prestigious organization oversees trade certification through work experience, technical training, and on-the-job training in order to continue a strong workforce within Alberta.

“We are thrilled to have one of our board members appointed to this association,” Taiga BioActives CEO John Hiebert said. “His proven track record of strong Leadership will truly help them enrich our community and develop bright minds across the province.”  

Heyens is the president of the Alberta Glass Company and has previously served as the Presiding officer of Alberta Apprenticeship and Provincial Apprenticeship committee for six years, and has also been the Inaugural president of the Provincial Glaziers Association of Alberta, among many others.
