2008 Gospel Heritage Praise & Worship Conference

The Gospel Heritage Foundation, Gospel Today Magazine and its founder Dr. Teresa Hairston join with Abbott Labs, American Bible Society, Chic-fil-A, and leading Pastors within the Christian community.
WHAT:
The Gospel Heritage Praise & Worship Conference is a power packed three-day event presenting an enriching array of classes, seminars, and artist showcases designed to empower, educate and inspire. Since its inception in 2002, The Gospel Heritage Praise & Worship Conference has attracted more than 20,000 attendees. More than any other national faith-based conference, the Gospel Heritage Praise & Worship Conference offers an intimate and interactive exchange between the community and the biggest names in Gospel music. Grammy, Stellar and Dove award winning artists Hezekiah Walker, Martha Munizzi, Dr. Marvin Sapp, Byron Cage, William Murphy and Tye Tribbbett are confirmed for the 2008 conference. Among the highlights of the conference are an Independent Label & Unsigned Artists Showcase and The Gospel Heritage Awards hosted by Vickie Winans honoring the industry’s most influential pioneers, Donald Lawrence, Ernestine Reems and other gospel greats. The conference celebration will conclude on Saturday evening with guest speaker recording artist Minister Judy Jacobs and psalmist Israel Houghton.
In addition to celebrating the heritage of Gospel music, the 2008 conference serves a dual purpose. Abbott Labs, a global health care company, will join conference organizers to impact the battle against HIV/AIDS in the African American community. Through musical inspiration and health education the Gospel Praise & Worship conference has set the stage for an empowering community event.
