Three iUniverse titles, Running from Coyote by Danalee Buhler, Ti Marie by Valerie Belgrave and Yoga and the Path of the Urban Mystic by Darren Main received excellent reviews in the January 2008 issue of the Kirkus Discoveries e-newsletter.

In Running from Coyote, Prankster coyote plays one mean trick after another on a young white girl living on the Navajo Indian reservation. After giving a description of Running from Coyote, the Kirkus Discoveries review mentions, “a sequel to this author’s extraordinary debut is hopefully in the works. One senses she has much more to say.”

In Ti Marie, 18th century romance and brutality falls under a spotlight, as author Valerie Belgrave weaves a story of love and adventure in the Caribbean where conflict and slavery reigned supreme. Kirkus Discoveries describes the book as “a lush period romance in a troubled tropical paradise.”

iUniverse Star title Yoga and the Path of the Urban Mystic comes from renowned yoga and meditation instructor Darren Main. The author brings ancient teachings to life for modern yogis who want to move their experience of yoga beyond the mat and meditation cushion and into the whole of life. According to the Kirkus Discoveries Review, “Main’s accessible volume is an exemplary introduction to the thought, theory and texture of modern-day yoga.”

The Kirkus Discoveries monthly e-newsletter showcases the best books reviewed during the past month. The newsletter is sent to a targeted base of subscribers, including agents, editors, librarians and individuals looking to acquire the print and film rights to books and unpublished manuscripts.
