FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
PRLog (Press Release) –
Jan 08, 2008 – A beginner full of positive thoughts of winning will have as much chance as a pro who is totally convinced of defeat. Until the first hole has been played, at least!
Golf is a mental game! Of Course you need skills to play and get better but if you're good, you can reach a lot further if you have the right mental state. (And of course the right equipment!!). Positive thinking is always helpfull. As I started by saying, if you think you'll loose, you might as well stop trying to win. The mental game is an awareness of what is coming and a positive attitude to what the outcome will be. If you know you can do something, you think it's easy (the keyword here is "think") and you'll be really surprised if you don't succeed. On the other hand, if you think you'll miss a shot in golf, you won't be surprised if you in fact DO miss it. To boil it down, the question is, do you have any control over your mental attitude to the game? Perhaps you have, but then again, perhaps you might not. In fact, you may not even know right now. Or you know you have absolutely no control over the game, but don't know how to change that. It is actually very easy to change and become more confident. In golf and anywhere else. Have a positive attitude to the game if you want to reach unknown hights in golf. And do not make any distinction between the types of game you are playing. So when to begin? Now! Wake up tomorrow morning and start your day by thinking that this is a wonderful day and your game at the course will be the best ever. Remeber to eat well t play well. Take care of your body as well as you are taking care of your mind. Don't rush anything. Take your time and look forward to the game, knowing you'll be good. Think about your next shot as you walk down the fairway. Visualize it. I can tell you that every time I had an exam I used visualization. The night befor when I went to bed and most of the morning before my exam, I visualized what the outcome would be. And I got it right almost every time. The times I was wrong, I actually did better than I visualized. The mental game of golf is most of all confidence and thinking about your shots in advance. Positive thinking is known to produce positive results. Guess what the negatives thoughts produce... So if you want to be a winner at golf, then think positively. That is how to win the mental game of golf.
