16-Year-Old Inspiration Shares His Story at Lacrosse Co. in Hillsborough

HILLSBOROUGH, N.C. – Logan Aldridge, a 16 year old student and lacrosse player at Ravenscroft School in Raleigh, recently inspired more than 30 account managers at leading sports retailer the Great Atlantic Lacrosse Company in Hillsborough.  Aldridge’s encouragement to go beyond personal expectations stems from his remarkable comeback after losing his arm in a boating accident.

“We brought in Logan because his story is a powerful motivator for everyone, no matter what challenge they face,” said Chris Steffens, director of sales.  “He connected with our sales team not only because of his passion for lacrosse, but also because his story has an impact on everyone who hears it.”

Aldridge is on the rise as a nationally-known motivational speaker.  After losing his left arm in 2004, he returned to his favorite sports—lacrosse and wakeboarding—and succeeded at greater heights than when competing with two arms.  Aldridge has been featured on NBC’s Today Show, People Magazine, Lacrosse Magazine, Wake Boarding magazine, and multiple print and TV media outlets locally.  World-class lacrosse player Mark Millon tapped Aldridge for speaking at his Millon International Lacrosse Camps this past summer.  

Aldridge directs the proceeds from his speaking engagements to the newly formed Logan Aldridge Foundation.  The foundation benefits children’s hospitals in the Southeast, with a special focus on helping children injured while playing the action sports they love.
