Custom Homes in Sandy Springs

Two new homes in sandy springs set a higher standard for homebuyers

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release) - Jan 07, 2008 -
Sandy Springs, GA: Two new homes being completed in the Mountaire Estates area of Sandy Springs set a new standard for the (fastidious or demanding or refined) homebuyer looking for space, exceptional quality and value.  These homes offer features and attributes that are not common in homes that are not custom built.  Custom Building Group, LLC, the company responsible for building these homes, was created by a group of builders and development specialists who have worked hard to develop techniques that make it possible to combine quality and value.
Custom Building Group, LLC owns and continues to acquire residential lots in Sandy Springs and Dunwoody that are available for custom building. “Having a land bank allows us to lock in costs and offer a custom home”, commented Tomas Lefkovits, one of the partners.  “We understand land and which design will work best for that piece of property. “
“We are constantly searching for products and standards that make our homes more livable and comfortable” said Dan Simpson, another partner of CBG Group. Dan, a twenty-year veteran of the building industry, attributes membership in the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association and attendance at national and international conventions and home shows to help the company stay abreast of current trends and innovations.” Because we use innovative technology and green building products we complete the building of a home faster and the final product is more energy efficient and of superior construction.  In our two new homes in the Mountaire Estates area of Sandy Springs, the foundation walls are manufactured by Superior Walls. These walls are made from 5000 psi concrete and reinforced with steel, then delivered to us pre-cast, so the foundation can typically be installed in one day. The quality is superior to a poured concrete foundation and the strength of the foundation is assured by a 15 yr no moisture guarantee from the manufacturer. Insulation and provision for electrical wiring are built into the foundation.
The lumber used in these homes is also high tech; an engineered open web truss system provides greater strength and an open channel to run the utility systems.  Drop ceilings for plumbing or heating/air ducts are not required. This allows CBG to build homes with ten and twelve foot high ceilings.  The sub floor decking is special too; Advantech is a tongue and groove engineered system that is quiet and impervious to moisture.  The roof decking, LP Tech shield, keeps the attic 30 degrees cooler during the hottest summer, yet, retains heat in the winter months.  Marc Lefkovits, another CBG partner, stated quite simply that these are the homes of tomorrow, built with sustainable resources and engineered for greater strength and durability while conserving energy and saving money for the homeowner.
Most importantly, Custom Building Group, LLC has the craftsmen qualified to build these superior quality homes.   Marc Lefkovits says, “Our carpenters and other tradesmen have been tried and tested over the years and bring the best of their individual skills to the job. From the custom natural stonework to the intricate interior crown molding our crews are artisans crafting your new home with thought and care.”
Always with attention to detail, the designs differ but the quality and livability are the same.  One home features 6 bedrooms (5 upper level and 1 main level) and the other 5 bedrooms (4 upper level and 1 terrace level). Both homes offer a partially finished terrace level with additional unfinished area for future expansion.  The homes have ten and twelve foot ceilings on the main level and nine and ten foot ceilings on the second level.  Soaring two story entry foyers set the stage for openness.  There are many additional features such as a home automation system, butler’s pantry with prep sink, vanity in the powder room and beautiful custom trim throughout.  Additionally, stained wooden plank ceilings in the exterior covered areas, three-car garage with custom carriage doors, bookcases and built-ins for home electronics, the list goes on and on.   The ruble stone exterior is done the old fashioned way, each stone is hand chiseled and fit into place, one at a time. The same is true for the first quality hardwood floors, each board is individually placed and custom finished on site.
Come visit these homes and see for yourself. Whether looking for a new home or gathering ideas for a new project, you will enjoy the visit.  Located just off Johnson Ferry Road in the heart of Sandy Springs, at the corner of Ferry Drive and Angus Trail.
