CES 2008 - Las Vegas, NV - - XIAS (pronounced: kí-as) announces a new series of USB Pen Drives.  The seductive black and silver drive allows users to take photos, MP3 files, game saves and other personal data with them wherever they go. The XIASTM drives come in 2GB to 8GB capacity, feature a two-year warranty and will be offered in multiple color options. The XIAS drives will be available soon at many well-known retail outlets.

Offering true plug-and-play convenience, no external power or battery is needed as the USB port on any compatible desktop or laptop computer powers the XIASTM Drive. A power-saving mode reduces power consumption. The pen drive is compliant with USB 2.0 with a fast full-speed transfer rate of up to 480Mbps. The drive is also backward compatible with USB 1.1.

With no moving parts, the pen drive is resistant to temperature changes, shock and vibration.
The XIASTM Drive offers driver-free support for the following operating systems: Windows(R) ME/2000/XP/Vista and above; Linux(tm 2.4 or later and Mac(tm) OS9.0 and later. Dimensions of the drive are 2” (L) x .8”(W) x .09”(H) weight is .05 lbs.
