PRLog (Press Release) –
Jan 03, 2008 – Many people, when beginning to search for rare Wizard of OZ books, have difficulty identifying publication years. My intention is to help you in that quest, and perhaps to save you time and money as well.
When I first started acquiring Frank Baum books as collectibles, I was faced with many challenges. My main challenge was to identify publishing years since most collectible wizard of Oz books have only the original copyright year printed. In addition, many sellers including reputable bookstores were under the impression that they all have true first editions.
Through my extensive experience obtaining Oz books, I consider myself very knowledgeable in this field. In my opinion, a bookstore should consider itself lucky to own just one copy of a true first edition, while I have over 200 various first editions including several copies of The Wonderful Wizard of OZ.
Whatever your intentions are: to learn, purchase or sell, I am sure you will find information in this website and in my shop.
To make your purchase of OZ memorabilia pleasant, I offer not only descriptions, but also many photographs of each part of the book, a luxury that I was not given when actually purchasing them. The book collector's equivalent of "location, location, and location" is "condition, condition, condition" and I let photos speak for themselves. Since all of my books are 100% returnable, I have no intention of hiding anything from collectible books.
