PR Log (Press Release)Jan 03, 2008 – POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – The growth in outsourcing in the Pacific Northwest region has led to the formation of a chapter of the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP).

The new chapter will hold a kick-off meeting on Jan. 8, 2008, 3:30 p.m. (PST), at the W Hotel, 1112 4th Ave., Seattle. The April meeting will move to Portland, Oregon and the chapter will continue alternating between the two cities throughout the year.

IAOP Chairman Michael Corbett will review the state of the outsourcing industry and the emerging role of outsourcing professionals as leaders of organizational transformation. He will also share ways that IAOP is helping outsourcing professionals deliver better, more consistent outcomes for their companies.
The agenda also will include a panel discussion on the future of outsourcing with participants from Safeco Insurance, Nike, ADP, CSC and PricewaterhouseCoopers; as well as a presentation on effective outsourcing transitions by Kurt Kohorst, AVP Business Process Outsourcing Programs for Safeco.
