The Philippine Centre for St. Pio of Pietrelcina, Inc. is a non-stock, non-profit organization whose main goals are centered on encouraging formation of St. Pio prayer groups all over the country and further advancing the awareness of the Filipino people with regards to the social and charitable programs of the late St. Pio.
The center fosters, solicits and encourages devotions to St. Pio and spreads his good works with the help of charitable contributions from the public.
The Philippine Center for St. Pio of Pietrelcina was given the privilege of owning relic gloves and other clothing materials worn by St. Pio when he was still alive. These relics are proven to be miraculous. It is venerated during Masses and novena prayers in the St. Pio Chapel and is brought to different hospitals, churches and prayer groups when requested.
The center was established and registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission in 1983 principally to promote religious devotion to St. Pio and coordinate his growing number of devotees in the country.
ABOUT ST. PIO:
St. Pio was a Capuchin priest with precarious health but blessed by God in an extraordinary way. He was the first stigmatized priest in the history of the Catholic Church. Aside from obtaining the five wounds of Christ which he possessed for fifty long years, he was also given the gifts of bi-location, prophecy, healing, levitation, fragrance to depict his invisible presence, the power to read men’s hearts, and the gift of tongues, to name a few.
Through his intercession, people all over the world are cured physically and spiritually in ways that cannot be scientifically nor medically explained.
His dedication in helping others is unparalleled. In the words of St. Pio himself, “I can refuse no one. How could I, when the Lord never refuses me a grace?”
