The CNC basics E-Course is a video series that was created for the CNC Beginner to give a brief overview of the major steps of the CNC process. Ivan made sure to use simple language to explain complex processes and narrates each video with his own personal tips included. Video4:
Ivan focuses video 4 on CAM. CAM stands for Computer Aided Manufacturing. During the CAM step of the CNC Process Ivan uses software to teach how our CNC Machine should move. There are a number of CAM Software packages on the market which Ivan walks the user through in this video. Ivan goes through CAM Software techniques where he defines things like stock, location, tooling, feed and speeds and the post processor in use.
Ivan seems to have a talent for taking a complex topic such as CNC, picking out the most important aspects, and breaking down those topics into laymen terms. Ivan has started a fantastic CNC basic E-course. Video’s 5 and 6 in the series are set to release in January of 2008.
