As part of activities marking the celebration of Christmas HAMARA VIKAS, a New Delhi based NGO organized an AIDS awareness programme for the Cycle Rickshaw Pullers near Nizamuddin Railway Station, New Delhi.
The programme was aimed at educating Cycle Rickshaw Pullers on the pernicious effects of AIDS and its prevention. About 25 Cycle Rikshaw Pullers participated in this programme.
Speaking on the occasion Mr. Jagdish Pandey, spokesperson of HAMARA VIKAS says there is an urgent need to strengthen the general population's knowledge and understanding of HIV/AIDS. He said the HIV/AIDS situation is alarming not just in India but also in the entire world and it would require commitment and expertise to fight it.
