The producers of Jump Around 4 Kids promise to donate a portion of the proceeds from their successful fitness DVD to Drive Kids to be Fit, a non-profit organization dedicated to combating childhood obesity. The money will help fund The Drive Kids to be Fit School Challenge starting in January of 2008 in the San Fernando Valley. “It was always my intention to partner with non-profit organizations that share the same mission I do—to help families develop and maintain healthy lifestyles,”
Drive Kids to be Fit, recently honored by the office of councilman Jack Weiss with a proclamation from the City of Los Angeles, provides free fitness and nutritional training, educational materials, family mentoring as well as a myriad of activities and events to promote healthier lifestyles among children who suffer from the disease of obesity. The organization is a community partner in the National Institute of Health’s We Can! Program, a nationwide initiative conceived to reduce the number of overweight children.
