CARY, NC – Cary Family Dental announces the completion of 216 hours of continued education by Allan Acton, DDS in the field of implant dentistry. In November 2007, Dr. Acton completed a nine-month implant continuim taught by the Triangle Dental Institute in Research Triangle Park, NC. His training included lectures, workshops, and one-on-one mentoring on implant surgical placement and restoration, associated bone preservation and ridge augmentation grafting, and connective tissue grafting.
Implant technology is an evolving field in dentistry, and its popularity among patients is growing. Dr. Acton's specialized training allows patients in need of dental implants to have their diagnosis, implant placement, and follow-up care completed in one place, thereby minimizing office visits and making treatment delivery more efficient.
