Racha Thai & Asian Kitchen, the fast growing chain of restaurants, has signed a lease for a 4200 s.f. restaurant in Clackamas Towne Center, Portland, OR. Featuring authentic and delectable Thai and Asian fare, Racha has developed a loyal following for their inexpensive feast of Asian salads, soups, fried rice, rice noodles or curry specialties.
Al Mayes, Senior Vice President and Managing Partner of the firm specializing in specialty retail management partnerships said “The Clackamas area continues to meet or exceed our expectations – and is a great fit for Racha. We’re bullish on the Northwest overall, partly because of the great people and personality of the Portland area”.
At the same time, Mayes announced that Retailigent was instrumental in securing a location for the Vitamin Shoppes in the larger Issaquah area, adding a 3000 s.f. store in the East Lake Sammamish Center.
“Vitamin Shoppes continues to grow and Issaquah is a natural fit in their overall Washington expansion strategy.” Al stated in a phone conversation today. “They (the Vitamin Shoppes) operate over 300 stores in 33 states now, with locations locally in Olympia, Redmond and Tukwila. The Issaquah market has fully embraced a healthy lifestyle and appreciates the quality products they carry.”
When asked about the general retail economy in 2007, Mayes agreed with most experts that the year performed similar to expectations, except for the significant increase in reliance on “Black Friday” promotions. “Few expected customers to so aggressively seek the deals, both in the stores and online” he stated. “The good news is that (after a slight dip is sales) December seems like it will be slightly ahead plan for most our partners and clients. But, we’ll all change our day by day sales plans and promotions next year around this new pattern!”
