Dec 20, 2007 -
Raw Art Gallery will present a new video art exhibition by Christodoulos Panayiotou, a Cypriot performance and video artist who was invited by the gallery in April 2006 to initiate his second slow dance marathon.
This marathon took place in Rabin Square where 96 volunteers slow-danced for 48 consecutive hours (switching partners every 30 minutes) on a stage at the middle of the square. Most of the dancing couples were not previously familiar with each other and had first met at the marathon stage, with a view to form a human chain of intimacy and romance amidst a public space.
