(Dresden, OH) – Abberley House Irish Bed and Breakfast, a 3-room Irish-themed bed and breakfast, opened its doors to guests in early December 2007. The bed and breakfast has 3 neatly-appointed rooms. Each room is quaintly named after common girls’ names in Ireland; the Tara Suite, the Shannon Room and the Colleen Room. Prices for the rooms range from $99.00 to $125.00 US. All rooms are outfitted with color satellite TV, air conditioning, a DVD/CD player and luscious plush robes. DVD and VCR players are available in the Gathering Room for guests, with a library of movies for their enjoyment. The house refrigerator and gas grill are available for guest use and a fire pit with Irish turf for burning is available, weather permitting. Free wireless internet access is accessible for those guests who bring their laptop and Wi-Fi card. A full Irish breakfast is served in the Dining Room every weekend morning from 8 AM-9:30AM and an Expanded Continental breakfast is served weekdays. An evening Dessert Hour is offered daily from 7PM-8PM and an afternoon Irish Tea is offered on weekends from 4PM-5PM. Special packages are also available. The innkeepers of Abberley House are Aaron and Heather Greenwood. They have wanted to open an Irish-themed bed and breakfast for some time…Aaron has been to Ireland and looks forward to returning there one day soon, and although Heather has not yet been able to set foot on the “ol’ sod”, she loves the culture and history of Ireland and is eager to travel there. Dresden, Ohio is the birthplace of Dave Longaberger, the founder of Longaberger Basket Company, and offers over 40 shops and eateries for guests’ enjoyment. It also has a very rich history. From the burning of the Delaware Indian settlement during Lord Dunmore’s War to boasting a suspension bridge built by George Willison Adams - a prominent local resident and businessman - and John Augustus Roebling – designer of the Brooklyn Bridge - and becoming an important trading town on the Ohio and Erie Canal system, Dresden has much to offer both historically and for entertainment. Coshocton County offers wonderful tourism options, also. The restored canal town of Roscoe Village offers much to see and do including a museum, living history tours, annual events, shopping and dining. There are also many galleries, wineries, unique shopping experiences and restaurants to enjoy as well. History played a large role in the Coshocton area, from the canal system to the Shawnee Indian settlement and also the railroads - and the transportation industry they created. As our way of introducing Abberley House to our guests, we’re offering 40 percent off regular rates during the months of December through February. Simply mention the discount when you call to make your reservation. Abberley House Irish Bed and Breakfast 18546 County Road 18 Dresden, OH 43821 740-327-2229 www.abberleyhousebnb.com
