The practice is comprised of three female physicians: Dr. Lisa M. Roberts, Dr. Kristina Bajzak and Dr. Elizabeth Roede Barbee. Dr. Roberts is a board-certified gynecologist and graduate of the University of North Carolina School of Medicine. She completed her OB/GYN residency at Wake Forest University Medical Center, followed by two fellowships in advanced gynecologic endoscopic surgery, one under the direction of Dr. Harry Reich, a pioneer in the field, and another under Dr. Joseph Sanfilippo at Allegheny General Hospital and Magee Women’s Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pa. Dr. Bajzak was trained and certified in obstetrics and gynecology in Canada, where she completed medical school, residency training and a Master of Science degree in epidemiology at Memorial University of Newfoundland. Dr. Bajzak also completed a fellowship in Gynecologic Laparoscopy at the Center for Women’s Care in Atlanta, Ga. under Dr. Thomas Lyons, one of the most highly skilled laparoscopic surgeons of our time. Dr. Barbee, who attended medical school at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine, where she also received a master’s degree in public health. She completed her OB/GYN residency at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Cornell in New York City. Dr. Barbee has fellowship training in Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery at the University of North Carolina under the guidance of Dr. Ellen Wells and Dr. Tony Visco, two of the premiere urogynecologists in the Southeast.
