Flight From Eden, by Kathryn A. Graham, a near future novel of a dystopian United States, has been released again in e-book format for Amazon's Kindle and also on the author's web site, http://www.freedomscribe.com .
The time is the near future. The United States is suffering in the grip of a fanatical and repressive theocracy that seems to jump right off the pages of today’s newspapers. While the rest of the world mourns the end of greatness, some very human scientists find a unique and daring solution . . .
The art of resistance can take many forms.
Kristen, the heroine and main character in Flight From Eden, is an astrophysicist drawn into a scheme that is so mad, so utterly daring, that it just might prove successful. Kristen's struggles with her inner doubts and fears make unforgettable reading as she grows from a frightened girl into a leader to be reckoned with. Flight From Eden seems more timely now than when it was first released a few years ago.
Just two of the reviews from the original release of Flight From Eden:
“These freedom fighters must come to grips with their own fears and accept the necessity of even their own deaths in order to protect and complete the mission they have set for themselves. Despite capture and torture, sabotage, betrayal and the certain knowledge that success will mean that they will die millions of miles away from their homes, they persevere against greater odds than any rebellion has ever fought before.” Wayne Hicks, Sierra Times
"Kathryn A. Graham has done her research. To my untrained eye, the characters in Flight From Eden might have come from NASA . . . You won't want to put it down until you find out what happens to them." Judy Schuler, Heartland Reviews
Kathryn A. Graham, the author of Flight From Eden and a number of other books, short stories and screenplays, is a far cry from your typical nerd writer. She has led an adventurous life herself. She is a licensed pilot, licensed aircraft mechanic, a former skydiver, a private investigator and computer networking engineer.
Although her primary focus these days is writing feature screenplays for marketing to Hollywood, Kathryn is just finishing a non-fiction book, entitled "America Hijacked!" She expects it to be released within the week. For more information on this and her other works, visit the author's web site at http://www.freedomscribe.com .
