This past September, ADG Creative (www.adgcreative.net)
“Traditionally, this service is seen as dirty and not very savvy,” explains David Anderson, Brand Strategist at ADG and leader of the Gotügo (pronounced got-uh-go) campaign. “Our goal was to change the way people saw the industry by adding a level of sophistication to Gotügo’s distinction of higher quality products and top-of-the-line service.”
The re-branding campaign included image branding, a name and tag line, and a website that utilized flash, animation, and a sophisticated design uncommon in the waste management and portable facilities industries. In addition to brochures (one specifically for high-end consumer events that features an impressive multi-stall Executive Trailer with AC/Heating and a Formal Trailer accompanied by uniformed attendants), ADG’s campaign included a creative direct mail announcement. “Brand Roll-out,” ADG’s Chief Creative Officer Jeff Antkowiak jokes. A roll of toilet paper was delivered to existing and potential customers wrapped in a message: “Who do you call when you got to go?”
Antkowiak adds, “The naming exercise that lead to Gotügo was a blast. Our entire staff got involved and many of the name suggestions had to be destroyed to protect the innocent.”
“It was a unique industry for us to explore,” Anderson concludes. “Gotügo used our core competence to brand and capture market share, and they let us be creative in everything from brand development to advertising and marketing.”
