Founder of Pro-Tech Announces New Structure for SleepEx Software Company
Mukilteo, WA – Wally Carruthers, the founder and former owner of Pro-Tech Services, Inc. announced today the strategic repositioning of its software development company – SleepEx.
Effective Nov. 19, 2007, SleepEx has become independent from Pro-Tech with corporate offices in Philadelphia, PA and a regional office in Atlanta, GA. The company will be owned and directed by the board of directors which consist of Wally Carruthers as Chairman, Roy Hathcock (former CEO of SleepEx) as Vice-Chairman, Vladimir Ivanov as President, and Arnie Hendricks as CFO. The SleepEx team has an innovative edge and is focused on delivering the highest quality software, designed to help individual sleep labs and multi-site sleep centers improve their efficiency and profitability. Wally commented, “Pro-Tech became the industry leader in the diagnostic sensor marketplace by listening to its customers, and delivering the best products and customer service”. Wally continued, “…our plans for SleepEx are the same, to develop the best software products in the industry and provide exceptional customer service.”
The Board of Directors has appointed Vladimir Ivanov, PhD to serve as the President of SleepEx. Dr. Ivanov holds a PhD in Data Processing, an MBA and Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering. He has been leading research and development teams for the past 20 years, including positions as a Head of Research Lab at the Russian Academy of Science, Chief Scientist and Director of Clinical Software Engineering at Grass-Telefactor and, most recently, Chief Software Architect at Pro-Tech where he lead the team that won a Small Business Innovative Research grant from the National Institute of Health (www.nih.gov)

Dr. Ivanov’s management team will include industry experience with Sean McDonough as Director of Sales, Cheryl Harner as Director of Product Development and Marketing, Herb Stevenson as Director of Technical Support and Hilary Jordan as Director of Operations.
