Christmas Toy Drive Gears Up at Roadmaster Drivers School

Director of Roadmaster Drivers School, inspired by his son in the Marines, is leading a Marine Corp. Toys for Tots toy drive in Jacksonville, Florida.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PR Log (Press Release)Dec 12, 2007 – (Jacksonville, FL) Ed Mocek, Director of Roadmaster Drivers School, a truck driving school in Jacksonville, Florida, has more than trucking school students’ graduation day to prepare for this Christmas. This season, Mocek is a local Toys for Tots Campaign Coordinator and as such, Mocek and his 26 Roadmaster Drivers School employees are in overdrive gathering new toys for Toys for Tots.

According to Mocek, “This is our second year with Toys for Tots and I have been overwhelmed by the response. We have the trucks and we’re looking to fill ‘em up!” Ed credits Roadmaster with supporting him in his charitable efforts. “Roadmaster is a company with a good heart and they support us 100%. My employees are especially terrific. Everybody just bands together to get the job done.”

Ed has a soft spot in his heart for the Marine-based charity because both his sons are in the military. Mocek’s oldest son, Jonathan, is an aviation corpsman with the Navy and his youngest son, Gabe, is a corporal in the Marine Corps. Mocek said, “Gabe will be headed to Iraq this January. We know this will be a very special family Christmas for all of us.”

Roadmaster Drivers School is a trucking school with a 3-week driving program that teaches students everything they need to know about trucking and how to safely drive a truck. There are day, night and weekend trucking classes, financial assistance options for eligible students and free job placement. The school is approved for Veterans’ Training.

All toys should be new and unwrapped and can be dropped off at 1409 Pickettville Road, Jacksonville, FL  32220. Roadmaster Drivers School of Jacksonville will also be collecting canned and boxed food for the community.

For information on the Jacksonville Toys for Tots Foundation Drop-Off Site, contact Ed Mocek at 904-783-3333 or emocek@Roadmaster.com.
