Women’s Health 2008: The 16th Annual Congress inaugurates the merging of the two most important women’s health clinical conferences of the year--the VCU Institute for Women’s Health Clinical Insights & Best Practices held annually in Williamsburg, VA and the Annual Congress on Women’s Health held in Hilton Head, SC. This must-attend meeting will bring together the best of both programs to provide outstanding faculty of the highest caliber, addressing the most clinically important topics in women’s health.
Conference Chair Wendy S. Klein, MD, Senior Deputy Director of the VCU Institute for Women's Health, a DHHS National Center of Excellence, Richmond, VA and Deputy Editor of Journal of Women’s Health and Susan G. Kornstein, MD, Executive Director of the VCU Institute for Women's Health have convened an outstanding faculty and an array of informative sessions that will focus on hot topics in cardiology, endocrinology, menopause, new diagnostics and therapeutics, reproductive health, bone health, and common clinical conditions. This year’s Congress will highlight diabetes management and “Diabetes Gizmos and Gadgets,” a hands-on workshop in new diabetes technology.
The Congress is sponsored by VCU Institute for Women’s Health and Journal of Women’s Health, in partnership with Speaking of Women’s Health. The Congress offers 24.25 ACCME and ANCC credits, sponsored by The Postgraduate Institute for Medicine (PIM). Application for CME credits has also been filed with the American Academy of Family Physicians and is pending.
