Laugh-Friendly Giving in the Christmas Spirit

PRLog (Press Release) – Dec 11, 2007 – Fairfax Station, VA, ee publishling & productions, the laugh-friendly company®, is honored to be a corporate sponsor of the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation for the second year in a row with its gift of children’s books and toys.

This year, ee (pronounced “double e”) expanded its donation to include more of its product lines. In addition to 3,000 Nana Star picture books and 400 companion rag dolls, 9,000 CutiePatootie WannaBe Babies® and 200 Classic Fire Truck books were given to the charity. The retail value of this gift totals more than $143,000. Toys for Tots, celebrating its 60th anniversary this season, will distribute the toys to children in need across the country.

“Toys for Tots helps us to accomplish our goal of giving as many children as we can a happy, laugh-friendly holiday,” says ee president and co-founder Elizabeth Sills.

Her sister, ee v-p Elena Patrice seconds that: “Giving to Toys for Tots makes ee’s Christmas season complete. Nothing makes us feel our work is more worthwhile than being part of this organization. This is what it’s all about for us, spreading Nana Star’s cheerful message and making kids smile. This is why we do what we do.”

Sills and Patrice attended the Toys for Tots Kickoff Luncheon in Alexandria, VA in November.

Last year ee became a corporate sponsor with a donation of several thousand Nana Star books and dolls. Toys for Tots marks ee’s largest gift of the year, but the company’s giving isn’t limited to the holiday season. ee products are presented to schools, hospitals, and children’s libraries nationwide year round. Toys and books have also been given to charitable organizations including First Book, The Quota Club, and the I AM Foundation.

How can a small company give so much? It’s consistent with the spirit of the season, but it’s also part of ee’s mission. “It all comes back,” smiles Sills brightly. “We truly believe that. Everything we give comes back to us in one form or another.”
