After several marriages, multiple career changes and decades of soul searching, Souley has finally found peace in her life, settling in Vernon, B.C. She wrote her memoir not only as a catharsis to heal from her own experiences, but also to help others caught in similar, self-defeating patterns.
“I lived my life outside of myself, seeking ways to fill the holes in my soul…I never knew I was co-creator in my own misery,” the author said in a recent interview. “Writing my story has healed me in ways that have surpassed my own understanding. I want to share that healing with others, so that they might find their own paths to recovery.”
