Follow on Google News | Drive Kids To Be Fit Launches Its 15-Week School Challenge This JanuaryDrive Kids to be Fit, a non-profit organization dedicated to combating childhood obesity, has developed a free program for students and their parents. Starting in January of 2008, five Los Angeles district schools will compete in a fitness challenge.
Mikhaiel and his team have developed a 15-week fitness and nutrition program which has been hugely successful. Most recently, the efforts of Drive Kids to be Fit were recognized with a proclamation from the City of Los Angeles, presented by the office of City Councilman Jack Weiss. Corporations have expressed interest in sponsorship and actress Vanessa Williams recorded a PSA to get the word out. “Participation and funding are key elements to the success of our organization,” Drive Kids to be Fit is a community partner in the National Institute of Health’s We Can! Program (Ways to Enhance Children's Activity & Nutrition).
