When it comes to recovery from drugs and alcohol, most need detox and/or treatment. But what happens after that initial period? Continuing care and a twelve-step program are usually the recommendations to every individual. And for those who cannot afford additional treatment in a rehab facility, a halfway house, or recovery residence is the ideal solution. These halfway houses for men or for women are not like those which harbor former prisoners. Rather, they are structured sober living environments that allow persons in early recovery from drugs and alcohol to gain the much needed life skills to move forward back to a normal life.
Most men and women that enter a sober living facility stay on average for about six months post-treatment. And while there, they learn how to stay clean and sober by performing daily routines within the suggestions of a 12-step program along with other normal daily activities. They are required to hold jobs, go to meetings, keep the cleanliness of the homes, adhere to curfews, and most importantly - stay sober.
Oak Tree Delray is continuing forward with it's commitment to raise the bar on the standards when it comes to recovery residences. By adding many services that others don't such as life coaching and skills management, art meditation, and more 12 step meetings in each home - they have drastically improved the success rates of those in early recovery. These added features have also improved the morale and motivation for sustaining sobriety in these individuals.
Oak Tree Delray will be working with more treatment centers, drug rehabs, and detox programs over the next 60 days to continually improve operations. "It is only through cooperation with those clinically and directly involved with these people that we are going to find what works for each individual. Nothing is cookie-cutter in this field and more people should be aware of how we can help impact more people's lives" says Philip C, Director of Oak Tree Delray.
