“I was delighted to partner with Vator.tv for what turned out to be an exciting competition-
Vator competitions are based on the "wisdom of the crowds" approach where Vator watchers rate the entries and help select final entries for our judges. Final judging was done by SD Forum CEO Susan Lucas-Conwell, Vator co-founder and CEO Bambi Francisco and Robert Hoffer, Managing Director at Newforth Partners.
The following seven companies were selected based on the number of votes, the number of views, the highest ratings, most positive comments, the quality of the pitch presentation and the market opportunity.
1) 222do, for its shared lists for social network users, particularly on Facebook.
2) Ccube, for its mobile widget that lets users of social networks receive Web-based phone calls.
3) Compete, for its Web analytics technology.
4) Monetize Media, for its media monetizing technology.
5) Zipidee, for its Web store application that can be embedded on a Web site.
6) Edgecast, for its Internet-content delivery platform.
7) Pluggd, for its video search technology.
