RIO GRANDE, Puerto Rico (Nov. 28, 2007) -- Rio Mar Beach Resort & Spa, the popular Puerto Rico luxury resort, has begun a $40 million capital improvement project to upgrade its casino, meeting rooms, guest room beds & televisions, public areas, restaurants, golf courses and landscaping.
This project at the Puerto Rico beach resort includes $4.7 million in completed renovations to the 7,000 square foot Rio Mar Casino, including new slot machines carpeting, chairs, tables and a redecorated Players Lounge.

The two, 18-hole championship golf courses at this Puerto Rico luxury resort – Tom & George Fazio’s Ocean Course and Greg Norman’s River Course – will undergo $4 million in upgrades, and another $1.7 million will be invested in engineering upgrades.
In conjunction with those projects, the Puerto Rico beach resort has revamped the menu at its Northern Italian-inspired Palio’s restaurant with the help of Gaetano Palmeri, chef and owner of the award-winning Gaetano’s Ristorante in Las Vegas.
