Launching as a business offering childbirth education and doula services, babyREADY has grown to further address the worries of parents by doing the research needed to know where safe, non-toxic, domestic products and services can be found.
babyREADY has grown to include: dream baby showers, resources for finding eco-friendly and environmentally safe nursery furniture and supplies, pre and postnatal photography, as well as childbirth preparation classes, labour and postpartum support and much more. Ultimately, if you can dream it and it’s baby related, they’re doing it, and in an innovative way.
Take their new twist on prenatal classes for example: they whisk a small group of couples to a resort location where the expectant pairs not only receive the class content they need to prepare for baby’s birth, but they also enjoy spa services, take part in prenatal fitness programs and savour a sumptuous meal in a fine dining atmosphere.
With expectant couples often working right up until the day baby is born, there’s little room for precious weekends away. There is even less time to dedicate to shopping, sorting, assessing and evaluating the hundreds of products there are in the marketplace. And, quite honestly, there’s the reality that not all couples find this part of baby planning to be any fun.
babyREADY is now well-ensconced in the Greater Toronto Area. The children of these mompreneurs are enjoying the extra perks that come from having Moms who want to find the best and safest products and resources available. Their boys are happy to test drive toys, ride in slings and wear the luxuriously comfortable clothes that their Moms sample!
