PRLog (Press Release) – Dec 04, 2007 – IP2Location has announced the availability of IP2Location ActiveX/COM Component, that enables geolocation by IP Address from Windows server and desktop applications.

IP2Location ActiveX Component is available in native-code running in all Windows platforms support COM technology such as Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Server 2003 and Windows Vista. The component enables you to discover in real-time, where Web visitors are coming from by IP address. Programmers can then dynamically tailor the content of site based on visitors country, region, city, latitude, longitude, ZIP code, ISP, domain name, time zone and connection speed. This component is using a fast and self-contained lookup datanase in BIN format. Therefore, no remote query or external database connection required.

Free evaluation component is available with random 5-second query delay together with free sample IP-COUNTRY database. Registered version will be fully functional bundled with one year geolocation database subscription without extra charge.
