Damodar Reddy, Minister for Information Technology & Communications, Government of Andhra Pradesh here at a special function at Taj Deccan, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad late evening on Saturday. Mr. Shailendra Kumar Joshi, Secretary to Government - IT&C, Govt. of AP and Mr. Mahesh Bigala, CEO - Finder Group also graced the launch function. The launch function was held amidst the gathering of IT recruiters working for US companies at Hyderabad.
Speaking immediately after the launch of the sites, Mr. R. Damodar Reddy, Minister for Information Technology and Communications, Govt. of AP said that the IT sector in the state is shaping up nicely. He said that the exports from Andhra Pradesh are more than Rs.18,500 crores which is more than 14% of the total national IT growth rate since the last three years. He disclosed that the state government is also contemplating to sanction SEZs to SMEs also to promote small and medium firms. The state government is committed to support in all possible means to encourage the IT industry to consolidate and also create lot more jobs to the professionals. Mr. Damodar Reddy said that the scientific and engineering talent available in Andhra Pradesh and Hyderabad in particular is comparable to the best in the world.
