London-based members of the trade association UKinbound, cleaned up at the Visit London awards held last night at a star-studded event at The O2 arena. Congratulations from UKinbound go to the winners and all other members who were recognised by the prestigious awards. They included:
ZSL* London Zoo, who picked up the Best New Experience for Londoners prize, the Kids Love London Award, and the coveted gold award for Marketing/PR Campaign of the Year. The Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Museum and Tour were honoured with the gold award for the Best Tourism Experience, and the bronze Accessible Tourism Award.
Also honoured last night was the National Maritime Museum, Grim’s Dyke Hotel, The Dorchester, Hyatt Regency London – The Churchill, the National Portrait Gallery, Madame Tussauds, London Marriott ‘s West India Quay Executive Team, and the Intercontinental Hotel Group.
Stephen Dowd, chief executive of UKinbound said:
“We are incredibly proud that our members have achieved so much, and are especially proud of the ones voted for by members of the public. The fact that so many UKinbound members were honoured is proof that being a member of a professional body gives you the opportunity to grow and share best practice in order to improve the experience for customers.”
The actress Helen Mirren, who was also present, was honoured with an Outstanding Achievement Award.
