Vernon, British Columbia, Canada; Former Cambodian Refugee, On Ouchs has created a unique and never before done charity auction on eBay with the support of Cambodia Support Group (CSG), a Canadian non-profit organization that assisted his family in resettling in Canada following the end of the war in the 1980s. On Ouchs is auctioning off his return plane ticket home (A $850 value); on December 5th On will acquire his boarding pass and will be sending it framed to the winner of the auction, he will not be using the ticket to return home . 100% of the monies raised from this auction will go to benefit CSG. For complete details please log onto his blog at: http://www.ouchs.com . The auction ends December 7th.
Born in a Cambodian refugee camp in Thailand, On Ouchs and his family which includes his parents, an older brother and two younger sisters were able to resettle in Canada with the help of CSG. While visiting his homeland country he felt the need to give back to CSG in some way after seeing how impoverished the people of Cambodia are and how lucky he has been.
Since auctioning off his plane ticket will in essence strand him in Cambodia and with only $100 remaining of the monies he brought with him for his trip, On is working as a local motor taxi driver, (Tuk Tuk) to raise the monies necessary so he can return home.
Read about his experience and more at http://www.ouchs.com, On will be keeping a Blog on this site of the status of the auction and his experiences.
