Nov 26, 2007 – Wallingford, Connecticut — Queralt LLC, a developer of next generation radio frequency asset management solutions using advanced RFID technology announced today that it has entered into an agreement with MBBS, S.A. for U.S. distribution of its hermetically sealed RFID tags. “MBBS tags and readers strengthen our metal intensive solutions”, highlighted John Van Steenburgh, Managing Director for Queralt LLC. “We are integrating MBBS technology to be used in solutions for tracking and managing surgical trays and metal instruments.”
Thanks to its unique and patented MetaluCID® technology, it makes it possible to communicate through metal, survive the sterilization process and is compliant with the pending FDA UID tracking requirements.
Traceability of surgical instruments becomes easy and offers hospitals the ability to know a surgical instrument or surgical trays inventory as well as a thorough history of all surgical instruments.
